Our “Co-Creative” Process

We know it can be hard to trust a designer to understand your vision, which is why we’ve spent years honing our co-creative process. We start by listening to your ideas, your motivation, and your ultimate dream for the custom piece. From there, we’ll use jewelry design traditions to frame your ideas in terms of function, wear, and price point. Whether for Weddings & Engagements, Heirloom Transformations, or a one-of-a-kind design, it’s still a “co-creative” process. We work together to turn your vision into reality and make it last generations.

The Design Process

1st Meeting: Ideas and Design

Help us learn everything about your project. We will meet to go over your ideas, budget, and timeline, and then decide whether we’re a good fit to complete the design for you. If we’re a good match, we’ll collect a deposit and get started on your project.
2nd Meeting: Design Approval

We present you the digital sketches, waxes or metal molds to finalize the design. All details and final edits will be determined during this meeting. After this meeting, the only adjustments should be for fit.
3rd Meeting: Delivery

We look forward to seeing you very happy with your finished piece and will make any final adjustments before you take it home.

When you begin a custom jewelry piece with us, we go beyond a sketch or CAD file. We commit to using traditional fine jewelry techniques made by our master artisans and goldsmiths, here on staff in our studio in Frederick, MD. Whether you’re designing for a Wedding or Engagement, a one-of-a-kind experience, or to turn an older piece into something new, you’ll have access to the same great team.
